Mary Frances Neighbors, 83, of Hornbeak died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, at Bells Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Bells.
Visitation was to be held from noon until 2 p.m. today at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, with funeral services to follow. The Rev. J.T. Troutman and the Rev. Jim Peyton were to officiate. Interment was to follow in Jones Cemetery in Trimble.
Mark Pegg, Lanny Chalk, Brian Rice, Matthew Chalk, Mike Pegg, William Schultz and Tim Bivens were to serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
She was born in Ripley, July 27, 1936, the daughter of the late Junius Losson Lee and the late Victoria Kesler Lee.
She graduated from Ripley High School and later was employed by Memphis Light Gas and Water, where she worked to become an office supervisor and held that position until retirement.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tiptonville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe House Neighbors.
She is survived by a stepson, William Keenan Neighbors of Newbern; a brother, Dennis Lee (Lynne) of Ripley; and two sisters, Joyce Lee Pegg and Patricia Lee Woodard (Jeff), both of Ripley.
