Lynda Lou (Keen) Butler, 87, of Union City, formerly of Ripley, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, at Union City Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Ripley, with the Rev. Dr. Douglas Norfleet and the Rev. Lora Jean Gowan officiating.
Burial will follow in Ripley Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Rob Cherry, Skipper White, Robert Cherry, Brett White, Benjamin White and Daniel Houston.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Ripley.
She was born on Feb. 15, 1932, in Louisville, Ky., daughter of the late George Richmond Howard and Virginia (Davis) Howard Keen.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Union City and a former member of First United Methodist Church in Ripley, where she was a member of the choir. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother and supporting her children and grandchildren in all their activities.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie (Rob) Cherry of Ripley, and Lou Anne (Skipper) White of Union City; a son, Arden Jones Butler III of Union City; four grandchildren, Robert (Lauren) Cherry of Kingsport, Ginna (Daniel) Houston of Johnson City, Brett White and Benjamin White of Nashville; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Butler; and her adoptive father, James William Keen.
