Bobby Gardner

Bobby Harold Gardner, age 86, of Martin died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, at CuraHealth in Nashville. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bible Union Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Sumner officiating. Burial will follow in Tansil Cemetery in Sharon.  Visitation will be held from 4-7 today (Tuesday). at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin, or after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church until service time. Gardner was a graduate of Martin High School, a retired farmer and a member of Bible Union Baptist Church where he served as deacon and song leader for more than 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Blanchett Gardner of Martin; his daughter, Linda (Roger) Hill of Martin;  his son, Gene (Kay) Gardner of Martin; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lyrlene Baker Gardner; his son, Barry Lee Gardner;  sister, Marie Wright; and parents, Hosie Clarence and Velmer Frances Rowlett Gardner.
