Larry B. Owsley, 76, of the Polk Station community passed away 10:56 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2019, in the emergency room at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. David Kendall will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tim Childers, Wayne Luebbert, Paul Hasselbrink, Gray Hooks, Sam Kendall and Joe Noles.
He was born Aug. 15, 1942, in Dyersburg, son of the late Jessie B. And Marjorie Ann (Rumley) Owsley. He married Sandra (Harper) Owsley Oct. 23, 1964. She survives.
He worked for the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was also a member of Rives Church of Christ.
He is also survived by one daughter, Lee Ann Childers (Tim) of Jacks Creek; one son, Brian Owsley (Rhiannon) of Obion; three grandchildren, Sadie Childers and Taylor Childers, both of Jacks Creek, and Ella Owsley of Obion; and one sister, Peggy Grady (Jerry) of the Possom Trot community.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Barry Owsley.
