Lannom was a bombardier/navigator aboard a Navy A-6A when he disappeared March 1, 1968, over North Vietnam. His body was recovered Dec. 13, 2017, and identified on Sept. 25, 2018. Crone is commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 in Union City. He was among the members who helped post the colors during the updating of a Vietnam Memorial Monument at Discovery Park of America designating Lannom from Missing in Action to Killed in Action status.
