Jean Huey Adams, 76, of Clifton, Va., passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Fairfax Nursing Center.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 1 p.m. June 27 at Clifton Presbyterian Church in Clifton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Research Institute.
She was born in Union City, daughter of O.C. “Bill” and Thelma Huey.
She was a 1966 graduate of Memphis State University and also received her master’s degree there in 1968. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and had a long-standing career in real estate in Memphis, as well as various parts of Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmie L. Adams; her daughter, Nikki Willingham Gardner (Chris); her sister, Joyce Huey Williamson; her nephews, Kim and Randy Kochenderfer; two stepdaughters, Debbie Robinson (Ronnie) of Myrtle, Miss., and Sherry Jackson (David) Lakeland; eight grandchildren, Joey Gardner, Ryan Gardner, Ashley Kelley (George), Kyle Courson, Brooke Cheshier (Blake), Makenzie Jackson, Heather Adams (Anthony) and Lindsey Dixon (Chris); and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and a nephew, Lane Kochenderfer.
