Damon Wade

Damon Violet Ballow Wade, 82, of Newbern died on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Union City Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Sunday, Nov. 22, 1936, in Obion County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Clarence Ballow and the late Mainie Francis Couch Ballow Cox. Mrs. Wade was a homemaker and member of Newbern First Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wade will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2019, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home in Clinton, Ky. Officiating this service will be Dr. William P. Oakley. Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery in Clinton. Visitation for Mrs. Wade will be held today from 5-8 p.m. at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern and on Friday from noon-2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Clinton.
Pallbearers will be Robert Lynch, Richie Fowlkes, Victor Bolton, David Pullen, Tracy Wade and Mark Kelly.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 63 years, Charles Perry Wade Sr. of Newbern; one son, Charles “Chuck” Wade Jr. (Cindy) of Dyersburg; two daughters, Charlotte Bolton (Charlie) of Cayce, Ky., and Robbie Robertson (Mickey) of Trimble; two stepsisters, Emily Wagner of Fulton and Ann Kern of Vero Beach, Fla.; two stepbrothers, Travis Cox of Fulton and Vanoy Cox of South Fulton; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, A.L. Cox; one stepbrother, Howard Cox; and one stepsister, Demtra Cox.
