TEAM EFFORT — Law enforcement officers from more than 25 agencies throughout Tennessee and Kentucky have converged on Union City this week for special interdiction training conducted as a joint effort between the Tennessee Highway Patrol Interdiction Plus Team, Obion County Sheriff’s Office, 27th Judicial District Drug Task Force and Union City Police Department. Discussing plans for the class Monday at The Venue at Center Point Business Solutions were (from left) THP Special Investigations Bureau Capt. Mark Stanford, Obion County sheriff’s Lt. Scott Watkins, Obion County Sheriff Karl Jackson and THP instructors Sgt. Jeff Fuller and trooper Rhett Campbell, both of the THP’s Interdiction Plus Team. The four-day, 32-hour course concludes with hands-on scenarios Thursday.
