Mary Jo Hunt

Mrs. Mary Jo Hunt, 81, of Union City, died Feb. 9. 2019, at Union City Nursing and Rehab.
Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Dr. Cecil Sewell and the Rev. Eddie Mallonee officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will receive friends today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church in Union City.
Mrs. Hunt was born Nov. 7, 1937, in Laurel Miss., daughter of the late Alvin and Ludie Cottrell Grady. She married James Harold Hunt Nov. 14, 1953 and he passed away Sep. 6, 2006.
She was a retired supervisor for Dixie Gun Works, where she worked for 50 years; was a member of First Baptist Church and wsa devoted to her family.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie Sharp of Newbern and Kim and David Moran of Union City; a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Beth Hunt of Memphis; eight grandchildren, Bruce Dickson, Bryce Moran, Trip McLaren, A.J. Hunt, Will Hunt, Jennifer Reed, Kerri Klutts and Ryan Reed; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, June Stover of Union City; and a brother, Jerry Grady of Troy.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Warren Grady.
