Betty Jeanette Petty Bowman Garner, 83, of Nashville, and a former resident of Obion County, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at Trevecca Center For Rehabilitation and Healing in Nashville.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the White-Ranson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Old Republican Cemetery near Union City.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Monday at the funeral home.
Her family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
She was born on Nov. 9, 1935, to the late Carmon P. Petty and Ruby Louise (Williams ) Petty. She married Allen Eugene Garner in 1980 and he died in 1982.
She was of the Church of Christ faith and was saved in the year 2006. She was also a member of the 1168 Moose Lodge in Holly, Mich. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by one daughter, Monica (John) Meier of Lowell, Mich.; one son, Steve Bowman of Nashville; three grandchildren, Joshua Meier, Jack Meier and Julia Meier, all of Lowell; one sister, Rebecca (Harold) Grojean of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Francis Carlene Wooldridge; and a family friend, Roland Priest.
