Joseph Davis Sanger, 66, of Gallatin, formerly of Hickman, Ky., passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at the N.H.C. Place Sumner in Gallatin.
Funeral services were to be 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Hickman, with burial to follow in Rush Creek Cemetery.
Visitation was to be from 4-7 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday at the church.
Hornbeak Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

He was born in Fulton County, Ky., on Sept. 9, 1952, the son of the late Robert Henry and Charlotte Davis Sanger.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hickman, where he served in many leadership roles. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and a lifelong farmer in Fulton County, Ky., and Lake County.
He served 31 years as a director of The Citizens Bank of Hickman.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathy Mabry Sanger; two daughters, Katie (Jordan) Hancock of Water Valley, Ky., and Betsy (David) Morris of Gallatin; and two grandchildren, Avery and Lucy Morris, both of Gallatin.
