Franklin D. Jones, 82, of Obion died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home, with Brother Lester Stone officiating. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Danny Stone, Johnny Stone, Arron Stone, Harry Jones, Brent Stone and Doug Robertson.
The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born Nov. 3, 1936, he was the son of the late James K. Vardamon and Ollie Bell Jones.
He was a retired farmer and he was retired from the John Deere dealership in Ridgley. He was also a member of Cottonwood Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Anne Jones of Obion; three daughters, Marina Archibald and Ronnie of Greenfield, Julie Jones Kirk and Michael, Valery Jones Lewis and James, both of Obion; one son, Wayne Jones and Amy of Obion; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Stone and Sybil Stone; and one brother, Tom Jones.
