Ralph Duke

Ralph Fred Duke, 78, of Hornbeak passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carmon Dennison officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery in Parsons.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
He was born July 11, 1940, in Bogota to the late John Wesley Duke and Rable Houston Duke.
He was a retired electrician of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, where he worked for over 30 years. He also served his country in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his two sons, Ralph Duke of Rutherford and John Perry Duke of California; two daughters, Kristin Ashe of Newbern and Elysia Duke of Murray, Ky; two brothers, John Ray Duke of Huntsville, Ala., and Paul Robert Duke of Illinois; a sister, Doris Gamez of Dyersburg; three grandchildren, Amanda Floyd of Newbern and Joshua Duke and John Duke, both of Newcomerstown, Ohio; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Erie Lee Duke.
