KEEPING STILL — A guaranteed crowd pleaser, face-painting has become a staple at the Reelfoot Lake Arts and Crafts Festival and this year was no different. Young festival-goers had a large variety of things from which to choose. From ninja turtles and angry birds to glittery butterflies, the choices were endless. Laiken Nicole Richardson, 3, of Dyersburg was a fantastic subject, sitting very still as Sharon Tate put her vast painting skills to work on Sunday. This year, the festival boasted more than 200 vendors and drew visitors from several states to the area. (The festival will be the Friends & Neighbors feature in Wednesday’s edition.)
