Nell Garrett

Nell Garrett, 94, of Union City died Aug. 29, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Justin Hiens officiating.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Van Garrett, John Coble Garrett, Jack Garrett, Shane Harrison, Rob McKnight and Billy Davis.
The family will receive friends from 9:30-11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Garrett was born on April 14, 1924, in Obion County, daughter of the late Edward and Stella (Keel) Sublett. She married Coble R. Garrett on June 28, 1946. He passed away on Oct. 19, 1979.
She worked as an instructor at the Anderson Beauty School and had worked at the former Brown Shoe Company and Buchanan Resorts. She was a member of Central Union Methodist Church Rives, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 4862, Union City. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Garrett is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Amelia and Kenny Faulk of Collierville; a son and daughter-in-law, Johnnie and Pat Garrett of Union City; two grandchildren and the spouse of one, Van Garrett of Nashville and Gina and Shane Harrison of Union City; five great-grandchildren, John Coble Garrett, Jack Garrett, J.B. Harrison, Brady Garrett and Adam Harrison; one brother, Harry Keel Sublett; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Elizabeth Sublett, Vetta Sublett Garrigan, Helen Tynes Scott and Louise Sublett; and five brothers, Carl Sublett, Junior Sublett, Gerald Sublett, Kenneth Sublett and David Sublett.
