Faye Passmore

Faye Passmore, 90, died in her sleep on July 8, 2018.
The life celebration service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Union City. Dr. Cecil Sewell will officiate. Burial will be at Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters and Lael-Ruth Sunday School class members.
She was born May 26, 1928, in Union City, to the late William Ollie and Eve Polsgrove Thornton. She lived in Union City or Rives most of her life.
She married Bill Passmore Sept. 26, 1947, and he preceded her in death February 1963. She married Sidney Earl Passmore May 5, 1966, and he died in October 1998.
She was a member for over 60 years at First Baptist Church Union City and a member and past officer of the Lael-Ruth Sunday School class.
She was a past officer and member of the 39’ers of the church and active in the Women’s Missionary Union. She was also a member of the Cox Center Canasta Club and a local Bridge club.
She retired from Sears in 1990 after many years of service. She graduated from UCHS in 1946 and was secretary and treasurer of her class.
She enjoyed making birthday cards for family and friends and was an accomplished landscape painter and seamstress.
Survivors are three daughters, Jennifer Elam of Manchester, Cathy Waggoner (Ronnie Waggoner) of Union City and Susan Hagenau (Dr. Curt Hagenau) of Nashville; two sons, Dr. Steve Passmore (Carol Ann) of Murray, Ky., and Donald Passmore (Debbie) of Clarksville; her grandchildren, Bridgette Whitaker (David), Bill Elam, Becky Gray, Bill Waggoner (Laura), Cheryl Hunt (Alan), Brandon Passmore (Erin), Daniel Passmore (Carol), Debra Davis, Dana Bell (Casey) and Nicole Swift (Josie); her great-grandchildren, Ethan Whitaker, Evie Gray, John Gray, Addison Hunt, Ainsley Joy Hunt, Owen Waggoner, Cooper Waggoner, Abby Davis, Cody Elam, Levi Elam, Drake Bell, Blake Passmore, Kate Swift and Annie Jo Swift; and her precious nieces and nephews, Donnie Thornton, Sammy Jean Caldwell, Phyllis Cathey, Beth Taylor, Daryl Thornton, Christy Passmore and David Passmore.
Preceding her in death were her brother, William Henry Thornton; her sister, Beatrice Neal; her grandparents, William Henry and Almarine Walker Polsgrove, William Presson and Evelyn Bruce Thornton; one son, Randy Passmore; one son-in-law, Bob Elam; and one grandson-in-law, Ross Gray.
