Dr. Blake Williams
Glenn “Blake” Williams, MD, MS, FACS, 44, of Memphis passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on July 5, 2018, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Union City, June 24, 1974. Blake holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin, a Masters of Science degree from Barry University and a Medical Doctorate from the University of Tennessee. He is a board-certified Otolaryngologist and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
He married Regan F. Williams (Hill), MD, MS, FACS, FAAP on April 17, 2004, and they went on to have three beautiful children, Glenn (9), Hudson (7) and Sophia (4). Near the end of life, he stated that he had accomplished all of his dreams. He had served his patients well, married the love of his life and had three amazing children.
He is survived by his parents, Beverly Rhodes and Glenn Williams (Gloria), both of Union City; his sister, Rae Lyn Anderson (Jason) of Slidell, La.; his brother, Tyler Williams of Nashville; and his step-sisters, Carrie Beth Albritton (Nathan) and Meleana Beverly. He is also survived by many devoted aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ray Whitworth (Velma), of Elmhurst, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. JP Reynolds (Ann) of Southaven, Miss.; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Williams (Olli) of Union City.

Each year, the children will select and contribute to a local charity that embodies the spirit of their Dad.
Arrangements are being handled by Canale Funeral Home in Memphis.
A funeral mass was to be held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception today at 3 p.m., Father Val Handwerker was to officiate.
A reception was to follow at their home.

My husband are deeply saddened my the death of Dr William. Like he said he did well for his patience. He was the type of doctor you came away from his office feeling like you were a good friend. He always had a sense of humor about life. He also talked about his family. We are sorry we didn’t get to hear about hiS Alaska Trip. He will be greatly missed. Carrying the ones left behind in my prayers
Just found out today about Dr. Williams’ passing as I was trying to get an appointment with his office. I was so shocked and heartbroken. He was such a wonderful doctor. Last time I was there he showed pictures of his beautiful children and I could tell how proud he was.
