LETTING IT GO — For the cancer survivors of Obion County, releasing balloons at the 2018 Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope means much more than what it appears. After being recognized by hearing their names read and how long they’ve been in the fight against the disease, they proudly walked the “Survivors’ Lap” around Union City High School’s War Memorial Stadium, which is something they may not have thought possible before. The Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope closed out a successful event with $181,257 raised. The books will remain open until June 30 for anyone who would still like to make a donation. To do so, contact Lorraine Gossett or Kim Bruer or go by Health Quest in Union City.
