William Burton Sr.

William Earl Burton Sr., 86, of Hornbeak died Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Memphis VA Medical Center.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak. Parks Thurman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mack Griffin, Brian Griffin, Kenny Weaks, Kevin Weaks, Aaron Burton and Harold Burton.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Cryer Funeral Home.
He was a TV repairman and theater manager, a member of Samburg Church of Christ and an Army veteran. He was the son of the late E.A. and Lou (Williams) Burton.
He is survived by a son and his wife, Earl and Shannan Burton of Newbern; three grandchildren, Courtney and Josh Ozment of Newbern, Aaron Burton of Obion, and Angel Burton of Obion; and a great-grandchild, Kinley Lane Ozment of Newbern. A special friend, Gail Humphreys of Hornbeak, also survives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tim Burton, in 2016; and a sister, Ella Weaks.
