Matthew Adam “Matt” Nolan, 50, of Rives passed away 4 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Tuesday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until hour of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Long, David Callens, Bubba Ashley, Stevie Moore, Shane Powers, Jamie Willcutt, Butch Fussell, Rob Naylor, Stan Powell and Trey Bunch.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the National Rifle Association.
He was born Feb. 14, 1968, in Union City, son of Charlie Nolan and his wife, Pat, and Norma Jean (Young) Henderson and his stepfather, Paul Henderson. He married Amy (Case) Nolan July 22, 1989. She survives.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City and was the owner of Nolan’s Plumbing.
He is also survived by one son, Landry Nolan of Rives; one daughter, Sabrina and Blake Powers of Troy; three sisters, Debbie and Roger Barnes of Water Valley, Ky., Charity and Adam Van Horn of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and Dodi and Alex Maestro-Pejovick of Boca Raton, Fla.; three brothers, Mike Nolan of the Brownsville community, near Hickman, Ky., Eric and Becky Henderson of South Fulton and Bryant and Sue Henderson of Fulton; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cherri and Mark Kinsey of Zachary, La.; mother-in-law, Billie Clutter of Rives; and future grandchild, Baby Powers.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Dana Pierce; and grandparents, Charles A. and Maggie Lee Nolan and Clarence and Annie Young.
