A PROPER GOOD-BYE — When Dr. Robert Young (left), a Union City obstetrician/gynecologist, retired from practicing medicine on March 1, his colleagues at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City wanted him to know how much they appreciated his 50 years of dedication. Barry “Skipper” Bondurant, administrator and chief executive officer of BMH-UC, thanked Dr. Young in person and presented him with a plaque commemorating his 50 years of service to the area. Now the general public will have a chance to thank him as well. A retirement celebration has been scheduled for March 16 from 2-4 p.m. in the Tower Conference Room at the hospital. Hors d’oeuvres will be served.
