Frances Glisson

Frances Brechears Glisson, 93, a resident of Fulton, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Van Ayer Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Martin.
Graveside services were to be 11 a.m. today at Antioch Cemetery in the Crystal community, with the Rev. Ron Cox officiating.
She was born Oct. 26, 1924, in Obion County, daughter of the late Stanley Holloman Brechears and the late Dicie Carolyn (Grooms) Brechears. She married Waymon Verdell Glisson. He died May 23, 2000.
She was a hairstylist, a retired H.U.D. Apartment manager in Nashville and a member of South Fulton Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Elwanda Edwards (Toney) Murphy of Union City and Vickie (Bart) Elam of Leland, N.C.; four grandchildren, Matthew (Catherine) Elam of Roswell, Ga., Joshua (Katie) Murphy of Nashville, Mark Elam of Billings, Mont., and Daniel (Lindsey) Murphy of Nashville; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean Wallace; and a brother, Bill Brechears.
