Lew Cunningham

Lew Cunningham, 76, of Obion died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Troy, with the Rev. Carmon Dennison officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 until 9:30 a.m. at Cryer Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Josh Hobson, Jody Parnell, Corey Hobson, Larry Sherron, Trent Mann and Jake Hiebert. Charles Spencer will serve as honorary pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial be made to Shriners Bone Hospital, 3100 Samford Ave., Shreveport, LA  71103.
He was born Nov. 29, 1941, in Obion, the son of the late Paul and Linnie (Stephens) Cunningham. He was married to the late Shirley Long Cunningham, who passed away Jan. 30, 2017.
He was an employee of the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City.
He is survived by two sons, Brad (Pam) Reynolds of Benton, Ark., and Brian (Stacey) Reynolds of Union City; two brothers, Bert Cunningham of Clinton, Ky., and Steve Cunningham of Dresden; a sister, Pat Parnell of Hickman, Ky.; six grandchildren, Josh Hobson of Medina, Corey Hobson of Dyersburg, Ashlee Hiebert of Benton, Whitney Waller of Washington and Blake Simmons and Abigail Simmons, both of Union City; eight great-grandchildren, Brody Hobson of Medina, Jaden Hiebert of Benton, Zayley Hobson, Caylyn Hobson and Vaylee Earp, all of Dyersburg, Lillee Hiebert of Benton, Livia Hobson of Medina and Lakelyn Hobson of Dyersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Sherron and Irene McCurdy; and four brothers, Cheek Cunningham, Leonard Eugene “Red” Cunningham, Homer Cunningham and Joseph Cunningham.
