‘FOWL’ WEATHER FRIENDS — Lisa Adkins of Union City, a receptionist and longtime employee at Reelfoot Animal Hospital, braved the 18-degree temperature shortly after 7 this morning as she tossed cracked corn to the ducks which live at Reelfoot Pond, located next to the clinic off West Reelfoot Avenue in Union City. She or her husband, David Adkins, feed the ducks every morning, seven days a week, and have been doing so for about four years. The pond is currently covered with an icy layer, but a small circle in the ice gives the ducks some open water.
