Wayne Flowers

Robert Wayne Flowers, 82, of Troy passed away 7:02 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church, near Troy. The Rev. John Lowrance and the Rev. Mitch Boulton will officiate. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday at the church.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Wade Kersey, Bobby Griffin, Jerry Calhoun, Odie “Pee Wee” Erwin, Vernie Erwin and William D. Smith Jr.
He was born Nov. 12, 1935, in Troy, son of the late William Robert and Lemer (Ross) Flowers.
He married Mary Anita (Morris) Flowers in December 1963. She preceded him in death in August 1993.
He had been employed as a delivery driver and sales clerk at the former Motor Parts & Bearing and Union City Parts. He was also a member of New Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder.
He is survived by one niece, Janet McGee of Troy; and one nephew, Kris Flowers of Troy.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, William Carnell Flowers.
