DRAMA PRODUCTION — Union City High School students (from left) Grace Kennedy, Chloe Cook, Nijel Smith and Jacob Virgin practice a scene in “Getting to Know…Oklahoma!,” which the Drama Club is staging at the Capitol Theatre in downtown Union City Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. The Rodgers & Hammerstein’s adapted musical is set in a Western Indian territory just after the turn of the century. The high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the colorful background against which Curly (Virgin), a handsome cowboy, and Laurey (Miss Kennedy), a winsome farm girl, play out their love story. Theater teacher Allison Butner is directing the production. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
