SEASONAL SELFIE — Brittany Cary of Hornbeak used her cell phone camera to take a selfie picture with her daughter, 1-year-old Haddie, as they waited to ride in the Hornbeak Christmas parade Friday night. They were bundled in layers as they braved frigid temperatures in the upper 20s and a brisk breeze. The pair rode on a small train painted like Thomas the Tank Engine and created by Mrs. Cary’s uncle, Bobby Stockdale of Hornbeak. They were in the front car, while Mrs. Cary’s aunt, Rhea Nelle Floyd, and son, 5-year-old Holdan Cary, rode in the back car. A huge crowd of participants and spectators turned out for Hornbeak’s parade.
