VERY BUSY SCHEDULE — Santa and Mrs. Claus have been popping up all over Obion County in recent days, appearing in many Christmas parades. Saturday night, the jolly couple made an appearance as the stars of the Kenton Christmas parade. Even at his busiest time of year, the man in red still has two more local parade appearances set for this weekend with the Hornbeak and Troy parades. The Hornbeak Christmas parade will kick off at 7 tonight and travel a route along Main Street. Participants will line up at 6 p.m. and register upon arrival, with small and walking entries registering behind Reelfoot Bank and larger entries registering near the park on Mulberry Circle. Troy’s parade Saturday will see participants lining up at 6 p.m., with smaller floats and walkers gathering at Trojan Park and registering at the Scout House and with larger floats starting in the parking lot at Hillcrest. The parade will begin at 7. Bobby and Evonne Stewart have been named grand marshals for this year’s event. Following the parade, refreshments will be served and children may visit with Santa at the Troy Senior Center.
