FROSTY FUN — Six-year-old Peyton Devine of Fulton paused Saturday evening to check out a Frosty the Snowman-themed light pole in downtown Fulton as he enjoyed the Twin Cities’ annual Christmas in the Parks festivities, centered around Pontotoc Park and Unity Park. The Mayor’s Light Pole Challenge featured the theme “Christmas Movies” for anyone who wished to decorate a pole. Christmas in the Parks offered caroling, a tree lighting and a visit from Santa at South Fulton’s Unity Park, as well as a holiday bazaar, live nativity, benefit chili supper and display of large plywood Christmas cards around Fulton’s Pontotoc Park. The event was sponsored by the Fulton Tourism Commission and the City of South Fulton and its parks and recreation.
