CHIMES CHEER — Children provided the entertainment Monday night when the annual Chimes for Charity telethon got under way at First Baptist Church in Union City. Among those who sang Christmas songs to delight the crowd were students from Kare Bear Preschool, which is located at the host church. They included 3-year-old class members (from left, front) Rylan Walker, Jade Andrews, Layne Jorge, (back row) Wyatt Richardson, Jack Walker, Andrew Stephens, Robert McCulloch and Charlie Phillips. The first night of the telethon yielded $5,458 in donations and pledges, bringing the total raised by Chimes thus far to $15,447. The second and final night of the telethon will be held tonight from 6-7:30 at the church.
