TINY HELPER — Patrick Dugger may only be 2 years old, but he was a big help when it came to packing bags with canned goods for Feeding of the 5,000 Saturday morning at the Obion County fairgrounds. Because of his small size, he was able to better reach cans in the bottom of bins to be moved so adults could easily reach them. He also tossed a few cans in bags for volunteers who carried them around for filling. Many churches collected canned goods and other non-perishable food items for the Feeding of the 5,000, an Obion County Ministerial Association event. The goal is to give away 1,500 bags of groceries to those in need. The grocery giveaway is set for Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the women’s building. The annual Thanksgiving Soul Food Café meal will follow Tuesday in the junior exhibits building from 5-7 p.m. Patrick is the son of Kate and Kurt Dugger of Rives.
