Paula Breeden

Mrs. Paula Breeden, 76, a resident of Springville, former longtime resident of Union City, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Union City, with the Rev. Tim Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Breeden, Michael Breeden, Mark Breeden, Paul Tinkle, Pat Tinkle, Wiley Winter, David Tinkle and Mike Tinkle.
The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service Saturday.
The family requests memorials be sent to First United Methodist Church, 420 East Main St., Union City.
She was born on July 24, 1941 in Union City, daughter of the late James and Betty (Wiley) Cardwell. In 1958 she married Charles P. O’Bannon and then married Bill Breeden on May 28, 1983. He survives.
She had a career in banking and mortgage lending, working for the former First Federal, Metropolitan Federal and First State banks.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Upper Room Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Northwest Tennessee Master Gardeners, where she organized trips and classes for the group. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
She is also survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Sean and Amy O’Bannon of Germantown; two granddaughters, Brooke O’Bannon and Cara O’Bannon; and one grandson, Webb O’Bannon, all of Germantown; one stepson, William D. Breeden Jr.; and one stepdaughter, Robin LeBeau, both of Illinois; three aunts, Nancy Wiley Tinkle, Rita Wiley Winter and Bernadine Wiley Fritts; and several cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her infant son, James Anthony O’Bannon.
