WE ‘CAN’ HELP — Second Baptist Church maintenance supervisor Brent Petty (left) and associate pastor Sam Coleman worked Monday afternoon to unload 2,193 cans of corn their church’s Sunday School classes collected for next week’s Feeding of the 5,000 ministry, which provides food to those in need in the community at Thanksgiving. Feeding of the 5,000 and the Thanksgiving Soul Food Café — both free to anyone in need — will be held Tuesday at the Obion County fairgrounds, which is where the Refuge Church meets. Bags of groceries will be given away during the Feeding of the 5,000 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the women’s building. It will be followed by the Thanksgiving Soul Food Café meal from 5-7 p.m. at the Refuge Church location in the junior exhibits building.
