Jimmie Pearigen

Mrs. Jimmie (Steele) Pearigen, 98, a resident of Myrtle Beach, S.C., died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at her residence.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tim Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from noon until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
The family requests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church in Union City or to the donor’s choice.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Margaret Carter Sunday School Class and the Character Builders Sunday School class of First United Methodist Church.
She was born Nov. 30, 1918, in Clifton, daughter of the late William Henry and Julia (Sewell) Steele. She married Raymond Pearigen in 1940 and he died July 13, 1995.
She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Union City and the Troy chapter of the Order Of Eastern Star.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Julia Pearigen and Bill Campbell of St. Louis; one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Jean Pearigen Jr. of Georgetown, S.C.; five grandchildren, Tiffany (David) Beitz, Kimberly Pearigen, Lori (Mark) Mauldin, Paul (Abi) Campbell and Emma Campbell; and seven great-grandchildren.
