Martha Jean Wainscott

Martha Jean “Jeanie” (Wainscott) Viniard, 76, of Springfield, Ill., formerly of Kenton, died after a lengthy illness, Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Heritage Healthcare in Springfield.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Oct. 8 at Tansil Cemetery in Sharon, with pastor Shawn Allred of Kenton First Baptist Church officiating.
The family requests memorials be made to: the First Baptist Church building fund, P.O. Box 436, Ridgway, IL 62979 or John Clark with the Springfield Muni Opera, Jeanie Wainscott written on memo line at Chase Bank 2801 Greenbriar, Springfield, IL 62704.
She was born Oct. 30, 1940, in Martin, to the late Paul and Elizabeth Wainscott.
She is survived by her three children, Jill Viniard Rhine (Jeff) of Ridgway, Scott Viniard (John Clark) of Springfield, and Mark Viniard (Rocell) of Indian Head Park, Ill.; two sisters, Paula West of Kenton and Allison Stenson (Bob) of Clyde, N.C.; five grandchildren, Billie Jean Rhine of Harrisburg, Ill., Allison Clark, Evan Dial and Grace Clark, all of Springfield, Samuel Viniard and Grayson Viniard, both of Indian Head Park; and three great-grandchildren, Nate Shafer, Madie Shafer and Bennett Dial.
She is also preceded in death by an infant brother, Billy Harold Wainscott.
