Bill Jackson

Mr. William Warren “Bill” Jackson, 77, of Fulton passed away Sunday morning, Sept. 17, 2017, at his home.
A celebration of life service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Hayes Grady will officiate.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
He was born March 1, 1940, in Nashville, son of the late Warren and Marguerite Louise (Boner) Jackson. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin.
He had been employed by the Tennessee Department of Employment in Union City. He was one of the first employees hired at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Union City as a quality control manager. He was later employed as manager of West Tennessee Rehabilitation Vocational Center in Union City and as a horticulture teacher at Nortwest Regional Correctional Complex in Tiptonville.
Upon retirement from the state, he found joy in working on appliances and automobiles. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, dancing and listening to music and was a member of the coffee club at McDonald’s in Fulton.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Julia and Homer Lawson of Union City and Laura and Victor Castro of Benton, Ark.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Marjorie and Hayes Grady of Murray, Ky.; Wanda Jackson of San Diego and Mary Ann and Kent Gearin, both of Martin; one brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Donna Jackson of Nashville; and four granddaughters and the spouse of one, Julianne and Bradley Gregg of Houston, Paulina Castro and Bella Castro, both of Little Rock, Ark., and Francesca Castro of Benton.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Jackson Hoback; and his stepmother, Ann Gray Jackson.
