Dalton Moran

James Dalton “Pete” Moran, 77, of Union City passed away 1:40 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017, at his home.
A Celebra-tion of Life Service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Greater Vision Church of God in Troy. Brother Robin Rotgers will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Greater Vision Church of God from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
Edmaiston-Mosley Fun-eral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Greater Vision Church of God, 701 South Mary Jane St., Troy, TN 38260.
Pete was born May 6, 1940, in Obion County, son of the late James Ramie and Jewell (Scott) Moran. He married Shirley (Rudd) Moran Sept. 26, 1969. She survives. He worked for the former Reelfoot Packing Company for many years and then worked for the former Lennox Heath Products in Union City until his retirement. Pete was a member of Greater Vision Church of God.
Humble and kind, a man of few words, he loved gardening and enjoyed woodworking and painting. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, William Dalton and Tracy Moran of Obion; three daughters and sons-in-law, Regina and Larry Cunningham of Union City, Penny and Larry Dale Edington of Central City, Ky., and Sherry and Mark Olmstead of Rockwall, Texas; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Ilar Moran.
