Charles Jackson

Charles Raymond Jackson, 73, of Troy died July 31, 2017, at his brother’s residence in the Dixie community.
Funeral services were to be  held at 1 p.m. today at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eric Burress officiating.
Burial was to follow in Fremont Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to  be his family and friends.
Mr. Jackson was born Oct. 28, 1943, in Muskegon, Mich., to the late James and Annie (Carter) Jackson. On April 5, 1985, he married the former Lois Fitch. She died in 1992.
He was a U. S. Army veteran and after completion of his service, he was a self-employed painter. He was a member of Walnut Log Baptist Church and enjoyed calligraphy and writing poems.
Mr. Jackson is survived by two brothers, Donald Jackson of Troy and Gary Jackson of Jackson; and one sister, Amber Jackson Ams of Michigan. He is also survived by one niece, three nephews, and several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews
He was also preceded in death by one nephew and one grand-nephew.
