LOGGING OFF — Traffic was diverted for a while Wednesday when a trailer full of logs overturned at midday at the busy intersection of Everett Boulevard and West Main Street in Union City. The mishap occurred about 12:30 p.m. when a trailer filled with cut logs came away from the truck pulling it. No one was injured in the accident, which affected the northbound travel lanes. The Union City Police Department diverted traffic around the scene while a Buddy’s Wrecker Service crew righted the trailer and picked up the spilled logs from the roadway and the grassy area between the westbound lane of West Main Street at Everett and the turn lane used to go north on Everett Boulevard. Cleanup of the logs and debris lasted throughout the afternoon.
