Van Lynch

Evangeline “Van” Lynch passed away April 27, 2017.
She was born on Nov. 9, 1935, in Stigler, Okla., a full-blooded Choctaw Indian. She attended Bethel University and earned a master’s degree in education and retired from teaching in 2000 from Obion County Central High School.
She is survived by two daughters, Tracey Lynch of McLeansboro, Ill., and Shane Jackson of Rutherford; a son, Michael Lynch of Yorkville; seven grandchildren/step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren/step-great-grandchildren, who were proud to call her “memaw.”
She was preceded in death by son, Mark “Chief” Lynch; her husband, the Rev. Jerry Lynch; and her parents, Rosa and Caston Watson.
There will be a Celebration of Life service for Van Lynch on June 24 at 2 p.m. at Cool Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Trimble. Everyone is invited. Please come for music, fellowship and memories.
The family asks memorials be made to Cool Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Trimble.
