Jim Hicks

Completed arrangements are being announced for Jim Hicks, 89, of South Fulton, who died Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at his residence.
He was a member of South Fulton Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, and he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II Occupation Forces. Mr. Hicks was the owner/manager of the former Moorman Feed Company in Fulton and was retired from NWTHRA.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy June (Jones) Hicks, whom he married Feb. 12, 1949; his son, R. David (Candy) Hicks of Springville; his grandson, Christopher David Hicks of New Orleans; and his sister, Dorothy Burleson of Cullman, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred Fred and Iola (Shanks) Hicks; and two brothers, Charles Hicks and Thomas Hicks.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today and anytime after 8 a.m. Saturday, until the funeral hour.
