Wilda ‘Wiggs’ Dyer

Completed arrangements are being announced for Wilda Jane “Wiggs” (Caldwell) Dyer, 74, of Martin, who died Monday, March 13, 2017, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with Dr. Bobby Williams and Brother Kerry Shopher officiating. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Kurt Caldwell, Jeff McBride, Shawn Johnson, Clint Tibbs, Andy Lynn, Will McBride, Mark Jackson and Bo McEwen.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
Mrs. Dyer was born July 20, 1942, in Troy, daughter of the late W.J. and Allie (Smith) Caldwell. She married James “Jim” Dyer July 22, 1961. He passed away March 23, 2005.
She was a local artist and homemaker and was a member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church near Martin.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Rita Dyer of Portland, Ore., and Gary and Pam Dyer of Martin; two sisters and their husbands, Mary and Steve Lynn of Memphis and Ann and Joe McEwen of Troy; two brothers and their wives, Donnie and Frankie Caldwell of Farmersville, La., and Pete and Sammie Jean Caldwell of Troy; three grandchildren, Kesha Stephenson of Paducah, Ky., and Tyler Dyer and Ashley Dyer, both of Portland; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Monty Dyer; and her brother, Michael Lynn Caldwell.
