Henry Hicks

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother James Kinsey and Brother Steve Carr will officiate. Burial will follow in Stovall Cemetery near Rives.
Pallbearers will be Allen Lyle, Mickey Lyle, Michael Worrell, Dan Baggett, Tony Winsett, Randy Worrell, Jamie Moore, Dylan Via and Eric Hayes.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home 5-8 p.m. today.
The family requests donations be made to Hometown Walk of Hope/Team Friends, in care of First Citizens National Bank, 324 South First St., Union City, TN  38261.
Mr. Henry was born Oct. 11, 1923, in Hurricane Mills, son of the late William Henry and Florence (Meredith) Hicks. He married the former Mable Pearl Little in 1948. She passed away in 1972. He then married the former Dorothy Nell Walker in 1977. She passed away April 26, 2011. Mr. Hicks was a self-employed carpenter and had retired from Rives Elementary School after many years of being a custodian. He was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church and was a former member of Mount Pelia Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Libbye and Robert Hayes of Union City; his son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Janice Winsett of Springville; his stepson and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Kathy Crittendon of Rives; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Heather and Jon Kits and Eric Hayes, all of Orland Park, Ill., Tony Winsett of Union City, Kevin Winsett of Evansville, Ind., Cayce Winsett of Union City, Mickey and Cindy Lyle of Union City, Allen and Jennifer Lyle of Samburg, Tammy and Randy Worrell of Union City and Tim Crittendon of Rives; 26 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; a great-great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Ward; his granddaughter, Debbie Davis; his grandson, Nicky Brooks; his great-grandson, Chance Lyle; four sisters; and three brothers.
