Donald Haynes

Funeral services were set for 1 p.m. today at White-Ranson Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Gardner was to officiate. Burial was to follow in the Stanley Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Ben Glasgow, Kyle Bailey, Josh Haynes, Walker Haynes, Dakota Haynes, Destry Haynes, Jason Menees, Jeff Wamble and Brandon Adams.
The family requests memorials be made to the Stanley Chapel Cemetery Association, in care of Kim Slaughter, 5423 Claude Tucker Road, Union City, TN 38261.
Mr. Haynes was born July 25, 1928, in Obion County, son of the late Herbert A. and Daisy (Murphy) Haynes. He married the former Carolyn R. Williams on Oct. 2, 1977, and she survives.
He was retired from the former Haynes Fish Market in Jackson and also was a farmer in the Walnut Log community.
He served in the Tennessee National Guard and attended Wards Grove Baptist Church in Jackson. Mr. Haynes was an avid dove and bird hunter and loved St. Louis Cardinals baseball, but his greatest joy was singing country and gospel music with his friends and family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Sheila Haynes of Union City; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Emily Haynes of the Midway community, Gary and Pat Haynes of Troy and Bret and Tracey Haynes of Rives; six grandchildren, Julie Glasgow, Amanda Bailey, Josh Haynes, Misty Menees, Dakota Haynes and Destry Haynes; four great-grandchildren, Walker Haynes, Jillian Menees, Townes Menees and Harrison Bailey; and his niece, Carrie Repp.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers; Herbert Haynes Jr. and Robert Haynes; his niece, Theresa Haynes; and his nephew, Mark Haynes.
