Berlon Eason

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Grimsley officiating. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Clay Welch, Shane Eason, Pete Welch, C.J. Eason, Jerry Wayne Duncan, Farris Duncan, Randy Eason and Bradley Eason. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Eaves and Jeff Burress.
He was born Aug. 21, 1929, in the Walnut Log community, son of the late Earnest Clayton and Mary Francis (Long) Eason. He married the former Betty Mai James Nov. 27, 1953. She passed away Feb. 24, 2009. He was a retired employee of the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City and had also been employed at the former Reelfoot Packing Co. in Union City, where he worked for 19 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War and was a member of Hornbeak Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Regina Welch of Dyersburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Sandy Eason of Dry Fork,Va., and Steve and Sarah Eason of Union City; six grandchildren, Clay Welch of Dyersburg, Christa Eason, Candace Eason and C.J. Eason, all of Dry Fork, Shane Eason of Nashville and Stacy Eason of Franklin, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Carson Temple and Creedence Moore, both of Dry Fork; and his brother, Floyd Eason of St. Louis.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Berlon was loved by all who knew him and was a kid at heart, with a heart of gold. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
