Almarene Dial

Almarene Dial, 74, of Woodland Mills died 2:15 a.m. Dec. 27, 2013, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at Lake Road Baptist Church near Union City. Brother Chip Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Lake Road Baptist Church  5-8 p.m. Saturday.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Dial, Heath Stewart, Danny Autry, James Miller, Brian Johnson and Robert Davis.
Mrs. Dial was born April 14, 1939, in Hickman, Ky., daughter of the late Samuel Davis and the late Opal (Counce) Davis Wells. She married Donald Dial Oct. 12, 1958. He survives. Almarene was a retired employee of the Union City Daily Messenger and was a member of Lake Road Baptist Church.
She is also survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Heath Stewart of Union City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Rosa Dial of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Brent and Lori Dial of Paris; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Catherine and Artel Gargus of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., and Betty Felts of Memphis; two brothers and one sister-in-law, James Delane Davis and Johnny and Sandra Davis, all of Hickman; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ruth O’Rear.
