Willis Ragan

Willis Litton Ragan, 79, of Union City died Aug. 19, 2013, at Methodist Le Bonheur Hospital in Germantown.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Bobby Stewart and Dan Huggins officiating. He will be buried at Obion County Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dwayne Henry, Michael Atkins, Terry Cammuse, Mike Calhoun, Jim Posey, Fred Hancock, Bobby Moultrie and Aaron Smith.
He was born June 26, 1934, in Obion County, son of the late Ned and Iza (Rumage) Ragan. He married the former Joyce Ann Terry June 18, 1955. She survives. He was a retired staff sergeant in the U.S. Army having served 21 years. He retired from the Union City water treatment plant having worked there more than 10 years. He was a member of Exchange Street Church of Christ in Union City, Retired Enlisted Association, Disabled American Veterans, American Military Society, American Legion and Police Survivors.
He is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Russ Henry of Union City and Kelly and James Atkins of Troy; four grandchildren, Dwayne Henry of Troy, Tiffany Franklin and Michael Atkins, both of Union City, and Kristie Atkins of Bells; and two great-grandchildren, Macie Atkins of Union City and Lucas Franklin of Martin.
